The people of Oriade local Government are

predominated farmers of both arable and cash crops. Among the grown crops include; yams, rice, cassava, beans, potatoes, as food crops while cash crops are cocoa, kola nut, coffee, maize, palm tree from where palm oil and palm kennels are derive.
More importantly, there are forest reserve for saw milling and other woodwork industries.
Apart from farming, the women are also engaged in trading, mat weaving at Ipetu-Ijesa and cloth dying at Erin-Oke.
